Welcome to The Cabin

Your hosts Jim and Hannah are ready to welcome you to their cabin, located on the banks of the Madawaska River.
This rustic, cozy dwelling is nestled in amongst the trees in the heart of the Ottawa Valley.
It offers 3 bedrooms, plus a loft. A full bathroom with shower, and a half bath with a washing machine.
The eat in kitchen area has a gas cooktop, microwave, and a large table for dining.
There is a den for watching a movie on a rainy afternoon.
Or relax in the outdoors in a fully screened in 3 season room.
In the evening there is a large firepit to relax around and listen to the peepers and loons.
If you're lucky, you'll hear the wolves howling from across the river.

 

The Cabin offers you a relaxing getaway from the noise and the chaos.
Spend your days stretched out on the dock, lounging in the sunshine.

Enjoy a leisurely float in the river, there is minimal boat traffic. 
Or take a walk on one of the many trails nearby.
A 15 minute drive away is Calabogie where you can rent canoes, kayaks, or SUPS and explore the lake and river.
Hike to the top of Calabogie Peaks, or nearby Eagle's Nest to take in the breathtaking views of the area.
While in Calabogie, stop in to Oh-El-La for a coffee and a treat, or the Calabogie Brewing Company for a cold beer and delicious pizza after a hike. There is the Redneck Bistro, and On The Rocks for other dining options in the area.

We are centrally located to several small Ontario towns, both Arnprior and Renfrew are a 25 minute drive. Pakenham, Almonte, are a scenic drive away, and offer quant shops and restaurants.
